Target

First of all, I am sorry for the lack of posting.  There haven't been deals worth writing home about.  My advice is to read the grocery smarts list every week HERE and get your deals that way.  Smiths has been having some pretty decent sales and they have all the links and coupons on the grocery smarts list.  I also only get one Sunday paper now because the red plum insert comes in the mail and I felt I wasn't getting my money's worth.  I have some wonderful neighbors that give me their inserts so I do get at least 3 every Sunday.  I felt I was printing more coupons online and not using so many coupons from the inserts to justify the money spent on 5 Sunday papers.  So I will keep posting great deals when I find them, but it has really slowed down.

A great way to get a lot of deals all in one place is Facebook.  I follow all of my favorite blogs and websites on Facebook and I can easily scroll down my home page and see all the latest posts and get the deals and coupons so much faster than trying to read through my favorite blogs one by one.  There are also so many coupons only available on facebook.  I have found that you don't need to "like" the company to print the coupon.  I click on the coupon link and have that work so far for me.  I didn't like all the "likes" showing up on my homepage and having to unlike them. I was not a huge facebook fan but for the ease of finding coupons it has been a huge time saver.  Just an idea!

Onto the reason for this post.  I visited the new Target on 300 west. I cut out coupons and printed even more and thought I was going to get the greatest deals.  I found the deals from a local blog so I thought I would be able to find them all at our new Target, but I was wrong.  Their prices were much higher than the Clearfield store and they didn't carry many of the products that I was looking for.  It is a smaller store and they don't have all of the items of a Super Target, but if I have a big shopping list I may drive to Ft. Union just to make sure I will find everything.  There was also an issue with all 13 coupons that I used.  The register beeped for every single coupon.  On my way to the car I counted how many coupons were scanned and 3 of them were missing, two $1 and one $2 coupon.  Target is not known for their coupon knowledge so be prepared.  It will be nice to have one so close buy just know it is smaller and they won't have as many products as the Super Targets.
