I bought a Twilight necklace and a big, pink tutu for Kenna's first birthday. Really, I have spent a long time looking through all of the items available, and I came across a really cute idea. I send my kids to school with lunch and I really don't like to use a lot of plastic baggies. On Etsy I found reusable snack bags.

When I have some free time I might try these. I really like the cracker jack wrapper idea. I made Payton a purse out of Capri Sun wrappers a couple of years ago. We were on vacation and saw them for $30 and I laughed because I knew how much that probably cost to make. I had the kids drink capri suns for a week and then drained and rinsed the pouches and stitched them together. It was fun and easy.I thought that the snack bags could really save some money. I like the idea of not using plastic too. My kids use plastic sandwich boxes and I love the sandwich wraps also.
That's funny. Just yesterday I asked my kids to ask their friends for their leftover Capri Sun packages so I could make purses/bags etc. Wow, great minds think alike on the recycling front!!
ReplyDeletealso funny,
ReplyDeleteI asked my neighbor about saving Capri Sun packets yesterday. (They don't drink it for lunch) Oh well.
